Using Tender to interact with and buy from the secondary market

Tender has, without a doubt, the most comprehensive list of amazing gen-art projects on fxhash. It is especially useful if you are lacking time to work your way through all that has been released and all that is coming up; they offer a curated view of soon-to-be-released projects as well.
Here is a list of services and what they do (detailed info about each is listed further down the page):
Drops - Latest Drops
is the where we need to go for all secondary information. In this section, Tender shows all the projects released on fxhash, but most importantly it also provides a curated view. This was previously called 'mintables'. When this option is chosen, you are shown a list of projects that the Tender team believe are worthy of minting but have yet to be sold out.
This is a simple overview of how the process works. Refer to the FAQs for the nuance.
Tender provides a printing service for any fxhash pieces of work that you own. You can only print pieces that you own and the site will check your wallet before approving it.
This isn't any old printing service; they have partnered with one of the world's best fine art printers. They send your prints flat pack, not rolled up.
From the website, the current benefits include:
A chance to reserve a TENDER x Collab mint for each drop
Access to Curated Drops Calendar
Access to a Discord server
Access to creating Curated Galleries (Grail Grids)
20% off all artist-approved fine art prints, when using Tenders fine art print service
Weekly insights newsletter
The Tender site is broken into two distinct parts; navigation (in red) and profile tools (in green). Tender places its most used navigation tools at the top of each page. To access your profile tools you simply select your profile and it provides the drop-down list. Once you choose one of these options, it will give the horizontal row of options (in the green box).
In the top right-hand corner of the page is a magnifying glass. This is your search button. As a keyboard shortcut, simply press / from anywhere within Tender and the search bar will open.
If you use a Mac, then I have made two shortcuts that will you take you to the specific page; Search Tender and Tender Drops - Coming Soon. Both will install at the top of your screen, in the menu bar.
Let's assume you have been on the Icon page and fallen in love with the Contrapuntos project by Marcelo Soria-Rodriguez and you would like to see what is available near the floor. The steps to take are:
search for Contrapuntos and then choose the collection
sort the collection by price for sale: lo-hi
find a piece you like and hover over it for the details (including price), or
toggle on the details button to see details for all pieces
This video shows the process in action:
You can easily send individual and multiple tokens from your collection. You can send them all the one address or choose an individual address for each one. It must be the full address and not a .tez address at this time.
If sending all to the same address, then simply place the address in the first field, then select the apply first address to all
option. Voila!
Just like batch sending tokens to a different address, you can also list, re-list and de-list in batches. This is a super useful tool.
Instead of listing several tokens individually, Tender allows you to select the ones you want to list, specify the individual prices and then list in one go, which saves a lot of time and reduces mistakes.
The same process exists for re-listing, which is when you want to increase or decrease several pieces at once. No more waiting 30 seconds for a transaction to then do the next one.
De-Listing is different to re-listing. De-listing takes your item off the market, whereas re-listing keeps it on the market at a different price.
A great trick for doing multiple actions at once; you can combine the action of listing, re-listing and de-listing in one process. You still need to send tokens in a separate action though. See the image below for an example of all three actions combined.
There are currently several tools in your profile menu:
Access your profile tools by selecting your account in the top right corner. Once you choose one of the options you will also see them all - as shown below - in a horizontal line across the page.
Your collection page is split into four parts:
This page displays all of the art you have collected from fxhash and is the default page when you choose collection
. How the page sorts your art can be changed with the drop-down menu on the left-hand side.
Within your collection page, you can do a lot of things. At the rate the site is improving, this image will probably be out of date soon!
You can:
Toggle on/off details. If you turn it off, then you will just see your art. This is great for enjoying what you own. Turn on the details when you want to interact with a piece, list it for sale etc. The image below shows the page with details turned on.
Toggle on/off printable pieces of work. When you turn this on, the page will filter your collection to only show pieces that are printable with Tender. If an artist hasn't approved their work for printing, then it won't show. If you want a piece that isn't approved, reach out to the artist and ask to allow it - some don't know the service exists. True story. Of course, some artists like to control the process and have not been approved because of this. Tender has a section on each project that tells you if this is the case.
Add a piece to a Grail Grid. You can easily choose a single piece and add it to a Grail Grid gallery that you are making, or want to make.
See the name of the artist who made the piece.
See the name of the piece and the number in the project.
List a piece or multiple pieces for sale. With this button, you can list a piece for sale, or cancel a piece (if you have previously listed it).
Send individual or multiple pieces to one or many different wallets.
If you place a piece of art for sale, you have a listing. The listing section of Tender will show all the pieces of art that you have listed for sale. Use the sort box to choose how you see your collection, such as by oldest mint first, or by project name A to Z. You can also search within your collection.
Tender provides the ability to make an offer on a piece of art and also receive offers. To see offers you have made and offers that have been made to you, simply go to your collection and check the offers tab. In time it is hoped that you will receive notifications when an offer arrives.
What have you been up to? Can't remember either? You're in luck.
On this page, you can see a list of all the sales you have made, or a list of all activities associated with your wallet and the fxhash market (which Tender connects into). As such, you can see listings, offers made, offers cancelled etc. It is a really useful function.
Grail Grids are the first part of Tenders gallery plans. Unlike the normal scrolling down a page approach, the Grail Grids operate like google maps, where you drag them around the page, while scrolling zooms in and out. It takes a moment to adjust but is a novel approach and allows you to easily change the scale, which I really like.
With the gallery fully zoomed out, you will see one of three layouts: 3x3, 5x5, or 9x9. This is really only a starting point because each piece can be made larger than one box. eg 2x2, 3x3, 4x4 boxes.
Do you have a favourite piece? Want to save it? This is where it ends up if you do. You can see the save/bookmark icon in the image below, which is what you need to press to send a piece into this section of Tender.
Saving pieces is a fantastic way to put them aside without becoming lost or forgotten.
Your watched page is split into three parts:
Listings Feed
Sales Feed
In love with a bunch of projects? Want to easily see them all in one tab? See the cheapest five pieces, how many are for sale and what just got listed from them? This is for you. Easily one of the best functions on Tender and in the whole fxhash ecosystem.
You can sort your project list in many ways. I usually curate mine, moving them around depending on how I feel. Being able to easily see 10 projects on one page and all the relevant info is just amazing.
To add a project to your watched list, select the eye icon. Grey is not in your collection and black (filled in) is. You can see the eye on the left-hand side in the image below.
This feed is made up of the projects you are watching. No need to watch thousands of pieces being listed for sale, just watch your own curated list of art that you want to buy! It is a live feed with the latest piece in the top left corner. As you can see in the image below, you can buy direct from the page to increase your chances of sniping a grail.
Sometimes it is nice to see what has been selling from all those projects you are watching. This helps keep your finger on the pulse and make sure you know if things are heating up. Trying to know what is happening to your favourite projects can be hard by watching the sales feed on fxhash. This is how you raise your game.
To define has become a difficult task. I used it initially for its outstanding curation of projects on fxhash, which they called Icons and to see what should have minted out but hadn't - alpha! Now it is far more than that, creating projects with talented artists, and providing a huge suite of tools for buying, selling and tracking generative art. It currently provides these for fxhash but has plans to broaden them. After all, fxhash isn't the only place to buy amazing generative art.
- extraordinary feats in generative art
- generative art that needs minting
- projects coming soon and the latest drops
- Tender collaborates with artists for special drops
- as the name suggests
- access to additional tools, project reserve lists and a community discord
- such as watch lists and favourites
are extraordinary feats in generative art and this is what it takes to be recognised by Tender and be placed on their list. Without a doubt, this list is the best collection of projects released on fxhash. It is a live list, with new Icons added as they come into the world. It is a great reference when someone asks "where should I start" when asking about art on fxhash.
There are two parts to Drops; Minting and Secondary. For Minting, see the section.
Along with providing tools for collectors and curating beautiful collections, Tender also works with artists to release collaborations, which they call . These are a melding of Tenders approach to high-quality and high-profile projects, and increasing the long-form generative art collaboration space.
Collaborations drop approximately monthly, with some more formal than others. TENDER x Collaborations reserve approximately 50% of the supply for Tender Pass holders, which are then chosen via a raffle system shortly before minting. Specific details are in the section and the section.
I could tell you all about it, but does a way better job. From what I have seen, everyone who has received a print has loved it. Like everything else Tender does, they aim high!
Released in July 2022, with a supply of only 1000, the is designed to expand the holders' access to unique tools, collaborations and collector insights, to name a few. With a pass, the holder can also access the Tender Discord, where there is a thriving community around generative art.
What they are and how to use these tools are found in the section.

Tender Drops - Coming Soon:
Tender is designed so it feels and acts consistently across the site. In this section, I will show some of the main ways I use it. The shows how to optimise for that process, whereas this part will focus on the secondary market tools and the profile tools.
